me #simproblems

a simblr dedicated to a simmer's love/hate relationship with the sims 3.
here’s my addiction…
my collection of the sims series. not pictured (digitally downloaded): sims 2: glamour life stuff, sims 3: fast lane stuff, sims 3: world adventures, sims 3: barnacle bay. to complete the entire collection, i would need sims 2: holiday stuff pack and sims 3: pets. i’m not a fan of the pets editions because i can’t stand the strays running around. they had a fix for that in the original sims with a sign but not in sims 2 and i doubt they have it in sims 3.
my computer can more than handle strays running around but with all of the custom content i have from the store, it does slow down my computer more than it did before i started buying things from the store. still playable, doesn’t lag too bad but sometimes it does and it gets annoying. it took forever to get a computer that would support sims castaway stories. i thought my laptop before my desktop would handle it but it wouldn’t. my previous laptop and desktop are dinosaurs in the digital world even though they’re only about 8-9 years old. the desktop has since been trashed and the laptop, i’m keeping for nostalgic reasons?
i’m semi-excited for sims 3: showtime and sims 3: master suite. showtime because you will be able to travel to other games. my best friend and i are wanting to mess each other’s games/families up because we can and we love each other that much. i will be getting master suite just because it is a stuff pack and i love having all the extra tidbits for the game. i didn’t do that for sims and sims 2 aside from the “cool stuff” they offered for free. now i keep checking for daily deals and anything i might see on sale or freebies.
it’s a sad, sad addiction BUT there are worse things to be addicted to, right?
